Dr. O’Kinsella was born and raised in Edmonds, Washington. He attended Seattle Pacific University and Warner Pacific College for his undergraduate education. After completing his medical school and residency, he served in the United States Armed Forces as a Family Physician in the Army for 3 years. He spent two years working in Germany and one year working in the Family Practice Residency in Tacoma, Washington at Madigan Hospital. After his separation from the Army, he worked in Snohomish County as a Family Physician for 14 years. He has spent the last 4 years working in Urgent Care with Skagit Regional Clinics. He has lived in Stanwood for the past 18 years. He has volunteered for 14 years with Stevens Pass Ski Area with the Ski Patrol and was a sideline physician for the Lakewood High School football team for 6 years. He volunteers with Safe Harbor, a free health care clinic in Stanwood, Washington. He enjoys spending time with his wife and 2 adult children. He enjoys water skiing, hiking, snow skiing, fishing, church activities and bird hunting with his dogs. His practice philosophy is to try and do his best with every patient that he cares for.
